The Village of Georgetown seeks to hire a Full-Time Lineman. This employee will carry out the effective and efficient operation of the Georgetown Electric Distribution Utility. Under direction of the Electric Utility Superintendent, this employee will work to maintain electric lines, poles, transformers, substations, and other associated equipment. Lineman troubleshoot electrical problems, turn on and off residential and commercial services. Electric Utility staff work a rotating on-call schedule and can expect to be called on for emergency repair work. Applicants should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in electric distribution utilities and a lineman certificate. Wages start at $19.25 per hour and 40 hours per week with full benefits.
