The Village of Georgetown seeks to hire a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic. Georgetown’s Fire/EMS Department provides critical emergency services to over 50 square miles and answers over 1,500 calls for service each year. The Village is well equipped for many emergency scenarios, from a 105’ ladder truck to a small brush truck as well as two life squads. On any given day you may be called on to fight a structure fire and then deliver a newborn baby on your next call. Applicants should have a minimum certified Firefighter I and a licensed Paramedic, as well as pass a physical evaluation. Wages start at $19.75 per hour or $49,296 per year. Shifts are scheduled 24 hours on; 48 hours off and an every 3 day Kelly Day.
